We have occupational competency standards for all types of crane operators, systems to certify your competency and skills and resources to help you carry out crane tasks safely. BC Crane Safety is your go-to resource on crane-related health and safety resources even if it’s historical events, current issues or future trends.

History: We post hazard alerts and safety bulletins on worker and worksite near misses, incidents or accidents.
Current: We post current safe work practices (like: inspection forms, mobile and tower crane/self-erect crane assembly/disassembly checklists).

Toolbox Talks provide practical information on worker and worksite health and safety and include guidance to improve health and safety on the job.

Designed to be easily incorporated into regular operational activities, Toolbox Talks come in a convenient one-page format with a sign-off sheet.

Toolbox Talks can be used in a number of ways:

In a one-on-one discussion with a worker
In a small, informal safety meeting before each shift
For site orientation or additional worker education
