Safety Corner: Preventive Maintenance Perfection

Jen Mutas, our Field OHS Advisor, is featured in Crane and Hoist Canada’s September/October 2024 Safety Corner: Preventive Maintenance Perfection. Establishing an effective maintenance program has many benefits for crane operators, employers and owners. Lowering repair costs and minimizing downtime while maximizing productivity and efficiency is great for business, but the increased safety for operators and workers resulting from a well-tuned preventive maintenance program is invaluable. 

Regulatory requirements that came into effect this October 1st for Notice of Project – Tower Crane under OHS Regulation section 14.73.3 also requires submission of the Tower Crane or Self-Erect Tower Crane Site Binder Document Checklist which is part of the Tower Crane Site Binder template, available for download among other resources, on the BCCraneSafety.ca website.
