Credential Recognition – Other Jurisdictions

Recognized Certifying Bodies

If you are a crane operator wanting to work in British Columbia, you need a credential that is recognized by BC Crane Safety.

Learn more about how to apply to have your credential recognized in BC.

Currently recognized certifying bodies are:

Canada: All provinces’ and territories’ regulatory and/or apprenticeship authorities. Some restrictions apply for specific crane classifications and designations.

Ireland: SOLAS Ireland (Mobile Crane, Tower Crane).

UK: CPCS (Mobile Crane)

USA:   NCCCO, CIC, OECP (Mobile Crane). Some additional requirements may apply.

European Union: ECOL (Mobile Crane)
