A crane operator logbook is essential for moving between jurisdictions and for demonstrating your skills when it’s time to obtain your B.C. crane operator certificate.

Use your logbook to record your daily activity and upload photos. It’s a great way to show others what equipment you can operate and what you can do.

In British Columbia, provisional operators are required to maintain a logbook to track their hours and experience. WorkSafeBC prevention officers may request to review operator logbooks.

The Crane Operator Logbook and Your Career

Keeping a logbook is integral to your career as a crane operator in several ways:

  • It helps you maintain an up-to-date and verifiable record of your professional qualifications.
  • It ensures you are always compliant with industry standards and regulations.
  • It can enhance your employability by providing employers with a clear, verified record of your skills and experience.

What is SkillRecord Passport?
