ECOL Invites Natoc and BC Crane Safety

The European Crane Operator Licence Committee invited BC Crane Safety and the National Occupational Council of Canada to participate in their working committee meeting on September 19, 2016 in Amsterdam as they work to create the common baseline for an EU Mobile Crane Operator Licence. The vision is a common baseline standard for the European Union, the UK, and Canada allowing for a Mutual Recognition Agreement between Canada and the EU under the auspices of CETA, and a Mutual Recognition Agreement between Canada and the UK.

BC Crane Safety Joins ICVS

BC Crane Safety is now a member of the International Compliance Verification System (ICVS), administered in Canada by the National Occupational Council of Canada (Natoc). BC recognizes more crane operator credentials than any other jurisdiction in Canada. Currently, thirteen Canadian jurisdictions, the USA, and Ireland are recognized. Crane operators can work in BC based on their original credential, meaning less red tape, lower cost, and greater mobility and ICVS makes it simple.
